I have been postponing my trip to Tuscany for a while (I almost planned it for April but then decided to explore Cinque Terre instead), and now I have finally managed to plan a quick escape to the Italian wine-growing country. Tuscany is supposed to be the most beautiful in July and August (that’s how they show it on all the postcards too), when its colours shine in the most beautiful glow, but October is also a pretty magical time to visit. The hills are naked and empty, yet the leaves of the grape vines glow yellow in the sun, the sheep shaped white clouds are like ever changing artworks in the sky and the temperature is just right for wandering between the endless vineyards and olive groves plantations.
