When life gives you lemons, make limoncello | Sorrento, Italy

Sorrento is pleasant coastal town right across the Bay of Naples, perched on high cliffs on the Sorrentine peninsula. Although it is not the ideal choice for those who love to spend a lot of time on the beach since the beaches are actually man-made piers, filled with deck chairs and umbrellas, it is still a perfect little town to visit and experience. In the evening, the main square is closed for the vehicles and the streets are filled with people, strolling around and enjoying live music, indulging in fantastic food or tasting limoncello or browsing many of the shops selling hundreds of products inspired by lemons. You can find lemon sweets, lemon biscuits, lemon scented candles and soap bars, all kinds of ceramics, from teacups to jars for oils or vinegar, everything here revolves around lemons, lemons, lemons.

We were amazed by the food at the Ristorante Fuoro Sorrento. I’m still dreaming about the zucchini gnocchi with zucchini flowers that pleasantly ended with tiramisu and a limoncello shot. Yummy! Highly recommended.
